HealthBeats® warmly welcomes James Woo as our newly appointed Head of Operations. He will oversee HealthBeats® overall operations including programme management, global support and global supply chain management. Given his extensive background and experience, he will also assume responsibility for global platform security and data protection/privacy.
James brought with him more than 30 years of related Information Technology experience including 20 years as Chief Information Officer at Farrer Park Hospital, MOH Holdings, National Healthcare Group and Starhub. Joining some of the organisations at early stage, he has a proven track record of success in strategising, building, leading and operating a comprehensive technology ecosystem in powering the growth of these organisations.
James currently serves as a member of IT Committee (ITC) in both RenCi Hospital and Tsao Foundation. He also served as Chair of IT Committee in AWWA, a social service agency with a 800-strong team of social workers, therapists, teachers, programme staff and management, as well as a big pool of volunteers and donors in delivering one of the largest multi-service social service in Singapore.
He had previously served on multiple government-initiated committees, including IMDA’s Tech Accelerator (TeSA) Sector Committee for Healthcare and IDA/WDA Skills Advisory Panel for Skills Framework for ICT. He was an Executive Committee member for 2 consecutive terms of Singapore Computer Society, the leading infocomm and digital media society for industry professionals, leaders, students, and tech enthusiasts with a thriving membership base of over 52,000 members.
James holds a Degree in Mathematics from Concordia College, New York. During his free time, he enjoys playing Sudoku, Wordle and exercises regularly by cycling, swimming, running or brisk walking.
